## What it looks like in a life

The job came from a group chat. The money came from something that did not exist five years ago. You are the one who saw the strange thing early and had to wait three years for everyone else to catch up. Your friendships cross every line: age, class, country, politics. You will give your work away to the right people and figure out the income later, and more than once that actually paid. You get bored inside institutions and stay at the edge of them on purpose. You argue with the rule even when you agree with it, just to check that the rule can explain itself.

## The gift

You can see the version of things that does not exist yet, and you are comfortable being the only one who does. Groups grow around you because you are not trying to be the center of them. When you attach your growth to something larger than your own name, doors open in numbers that make no sense on paper. You make people feel allowed to be strange.

## The friction

Different for its own sake is the trap. You will reject a working answer because it is common, and pay for that with years. You believe in humanity in general and skip the phone call your friend needed on Tuesday. And your detachment, which is genuinely useful in a crisis, quietly becomes distance from people who wanted you closer.
