Jupiter in the 7th house means partnership gives you more than you asked for: the people who arrive across from you tend to be generous, larger than life, or both. Your faith lives in the other person, and your overreach is expecting a relationship to carry more than one person can.

## The hook

Someone has always shown up for you right when it mattered.

## What it looks like in a life

Partners have improved your circumstances. That is a pattern, not an accident: the relationship that moved you to a better city, the collaborator who opened a door, the person whose family took you in. You marry generously, or you marry someone who takes up a lot of room, and sometimes both. You promise a lot early. You meet people easily and you commit faster than your friends think is wise. You have a high tolerance for a partner's excess because you can match it. Contracts and agreements tend to go your way, and you have been careless with them because of it. Alone, you feel like you are waiting.

## The gift

You are good at the other person. You expand what they think is possible, and people become more ambitious near you, which is why some of them credit you with a decision they made alone. You forgive quickly and genuinely. You bring luck to a partnership: the deals close, the introductions land, and the second person at the table does better for having been there.

## The friction

You hand the other person your faith and then ask them to be worth it. That is a heavy thing to put on someone, and they will fail it. You overlook a great deal in the name of being generous, and by the time you stop overlooking, years have gone. You also outsource your own growth: the partner is supposed to be the door, and you have waited at doors that were never going to open.

## The esoteric layer

The 7th cusp is the Descendant, one of the four angles, so a planet here is strengthened. The Hellenistic tradition gave this house to marriage and union, and the later tradition added open enemies to the same place. Jupiter is the greater benefic in that system, so the old texts read this as a strong marriage significator: the union brings increase. The esoteric line reads the Descendant as the mirror that completes the self, the meeting with the not self. Jupiter there says the person across from you is how your beliefs get tested in the open.

## Where this goes

The sign and aspects on this Jupiter say what you keep asking a partner to supply that you were meant to build yourself. A full natal reading puts that in plain language.
