## The hook

You are either working or dreaming, and the two of you have never been properly introduced.

## What it looks like in a life

You go all in, then all out. A month of hard training and then nothing. A plan the size of a decade, then one week of small tasks before the interest drains out of it. You attract people who promise big: the partner with the idea, the boss with the vision, the friend who is always about to. Sometimes you are that person to someone else. Arguments with you escalate fast, because you take the disagreement up a level to principle, where you are more comfortable fighting. Your sense of scale is off in both directions. Things you called small turned out to be your life.

## The gift

You see both ends. You know what raw effort costs and you know what a thing could become, and when those line up in you, you are unstoppable for as long as it lasts. You are also honest about overreach, in yourself and in other people, because you have lived on both sides of it.

## The friction

The swing is the problem, not either side of it. You call the effort phase discipline and the vision phase inspiration, and never notice you are just changing chairs. What you will not own, you find in other people and resent them for carrying it. The promise you make at the top of the arc gets paid for at the bottom by a version of you who never agreed to it.

## The esoteric layer

The opposition is half the circle, the number two, and the older readings tie it to full-Moon logic: you see the thing by standing across from it. In the Bailey lineage the pairs of opposites are held in tension until a third point is found that reconciles them, which is why oppositions reach you through other people first. Jupiter is sacred there, the second ray, love and wisdom. Mars is not sacred, the sixth ray, devotion by way of conflict. Faith and force at full stretch, and the reconciling point is the size of the next step you actually take.
