Neptune stays in a sign for roughly fourteen years, so the sign is generational. The trine to your Mars is what makes it personal. You have a physical kind of intuition: dance, sport, music, cooking, bodywork, driving at night. You pick up the atmosphere in a room and change your approach before you could explain why. You are hard to provoke. Arguments bore you more than they anger you, and you can leave one without needing the last word. You are generous with effort, often without being asked. You can lose yourself in something for hours and come out surprised at the time.

## The gift

You act without armor. Other people have to harden in order to get things done, and you do not, so your energy stays available to whatever is actually in front of you. You are good in rooms with suffering in them, because the suffering does not knock you over. Working toward something you believe in, you can sustain effort far past the point where discipline would have run out.

Those astrologers called Mars the lesser malefic and had nothing whatsoever to say about Neptune, which was not discovered until 1846. Bailey's esoteric astrology is direct about trines: the triangles indicate possibility, carried capital that often goes unspent. Neptune in that lineage is sacred and devotional, the dissolving of the separate self. Spend this on something that serves people, or it will spend itself on comfort.
