When you are hurt, your thinking bends around the wound and builds a case out of it, and the case feels like evidence. You defend people before you have the facts.

## The gift

You read a room before anyone speaks. That is real information, and most people have no access to it. Your memory holds what actually mattered: who was kind, what was promised, what a person was really asking for. You speak to the part of someone that is hurting instead of the part that is arguing, and it disarms people who came in ready to fight.

## The friction

Your mind treats mood as data, so a bad week feels like a true conclusion about your whole life. You take a neutral comment personally, then reconstruct it until it becomes the insult you already suspected. You go quiet instead of asking, and the silence keeps collecting evidence.
