## The hook

You say it, and then you watch the room decide what to do with it. That has been happening since you were small.

## What it looks like in a life

Uranus spends about seven years in a sign, so the sign is generational. The square to Mercury is what makes it personal. You blurt. The sentence is out before the calculation finishes, and half the time it is the truest thing said all day and half the time it costs you something. You cannot study in the assigned order. You jump to the part that interests you and reverse engineer the rest. Authority in a classroom made you itch. You argue with the premise instead of answering the question. People call you difficult when you were being precise, and you gave up correcting that impression years ago.

## The gift

You cannot be bribed in a conversation. You will name the thing everyone agreed to pretend was not there, and occasionally that turns a whole room around. Your mind refuses to run on autopilot. Whatever you know, you know because you tested it yourself, not because someone credible told you to accept it.

## The friction

A square makes friction, not flow, so the original thinking arrives as disruption. You break your own momentum: quit the course, rewrite the plan, pick the argument the week before the payoff. You mistake restlessness for insight. There is a nervous edge to it as well, the mind running faster than the body can hold, and it shows up as bad sleep and unfinished sentences.

## The esoteric layer

The square is a quarter of the circle, the number four, the cross of matter. Bailey's esoteric astrology reads the crosses as process and points of crisis, which turns this from a defect into an engine. Uranus was unknown to the ancient astrologers, so nothing in the old tradition names this pairing. Mercury they knew well: Hermes and Thoth, scribe and boundary-crosser, fused later into Hermes Trismegistus, patron of the entire Hermetic current. Modern practice gives Uranus the lightning. The friction between them is what turns a shock into a sentence somebody else can use.

The houses involved say where the disruption keeps landing and what it is trying to rebuild. Delivering the insight so it lands instead of detonating is a teachable skill, and that is what a teaching session works on.
