North Node in the 6th house means your growth is in the ordinary machinery of a life: real work, a craft done well, a body you take care of, and service that shows up on a schedule. The South Node sits in your 12th house, so the familiar retreat is inward, into the private world where nothing has to be handled.

## The hook

You have an inner life most people never get near. Tuesday is the problem.

## What it looks like in a life

You drift. You have always been able to leave a room without moving, and you learned it early because something around you required it. Routines start well and dissolve by the third week. You keep strange hours. You have a private world, imaginative or spiritual or chemical, that you would rather be in than in your calendar. You put off the doctor, the dentist, the email, the number you do not want to see. You would rather feel the whole of a problem than handle one piece of it. And the stretches where you kept a plain schedule, ate on time, and did the work in front of you are the stretches you were least afraid.

## The gift

You are not fooled by the surface of anything. You feel what a room is doing before it is said, and you can sit with someone's suffering without needing it to resolve. Put that into work with hours and standards and you become rare: a person with real craft who also knows what the craft is for.

## The friction

The open day eats you. You wait until the feeling is right, and the feeling does not keep a calendar. Small undone things pile into something too big to start, so you retreat further, which makes the pile worse. You call it sensitivity when it is avoidance. Your body keeps the record of that in symptoms you have been ignoring.

## The esoteric layer

The nodes are eclipse points, the two places where the Moon's orbit cuts the ecliptic. In the Hellenistic system they work as increase and decrease, the ascending node adding to whatever it touches and the descending node taking from it. Indian astrology holds the older image: Rahu, the head that swallows, and Ketu, the tail that lets go. Reading the North Node as a direction of growth is modern, and the past-life language wrapped around it is interpretation rather than documented lineage. The modern reading here is unglamorous on purpose. Your increase is in the daily.

## Where this goes

The sign on this node and the planet that rules it say what kind of work would actually hold you and what your body has been asking for. A full natal reading lays that out in order.
