North Node in Leo means your growth direction is personal: making the thing with your name on it, being seen as one specific person rather than part of a group. Your South Node is in Aquarius, so you already know how to stand slightly outside, think in systems, and belong to everyone in general, and that distance is the habit you hide in.

## The hook

You are comfortable as the observer, the friend of the group, the one who sees the whole pattern. Stepping into the middle of it is the part you have been avoiding.

## What it looks like in a life

The nodes move backwards through the zodiac and spend about eighteen months in a sign, so Leo here is shared by a whole cohort. The house it lands in and the aspects to it are what make it yours. In daily life you deflect attention with a joke. You do great work and hand the credit to the team. You have opinions about everything and preferences about nothing, or so you tell people. You care about causes more comfortably than you care about your own wanting. You wait to be chosen instead of putting your hand up. Praise makes you leave the room.

## The gift

You see the system. You can tell where a group is heading, who is being left out, and what the fair version would look like, and you are not impressed by status. That detachment is rare and it keeps you honest. Aquarius under a Leo node is what stops visibility from turning into ego: you can stand in front and still be thinking about everyone else.

## The friction

Being one of many protects you from being judged as one. You call self-expression arrogance because that judgment lets you stay safe. You give your creative energy away to groups and projects that will never bear your name. The loop is old: you stay general, then quietly ache that nobody knows who you actually are.

## The esoteric layer

Hellenistic astrologers knew the nodes as the eclipse points, where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's, and read them simply: the ascending node mildly increased whatever it met, the descending node diminished it. The medieval tradition renamed them the Head and Tail of the Dragon, and Indian astrology calls them Rahu and Ketu. The reading of the axis as past habit and future direction is modern, not ancient, and it should be named as modern. Its point in Leo is Bailey's Leo curriculum: build a self solid enough to be given away.

## Where this goes

The house of this node says where you are supposed to be visible, and the Sun says what you are actually here to make. A natal reading puts those two together.
