## The hook

You are either the most practical person in the room or the least, depending on the day, and you have never been able to predict which.

## What it looks like in a life

This square ran through 1998 to 1999 and again through 2015 to 2016, and everyone born then carries it. The house it falls in and its aspects to your personal planets are what make it yours. In practice you swing. You build carefully for three years and then put money into something with no plan behind it. You doubt your own perception, then override the doubt at the wrong moment. You have been genuinely deceived at least once, or you deceived yourself and called it faith. You work hard on things that turn out to have been foggy from the start, and you abandon solid things because they felt lifeless.

## The gift

Squares build muscle, and the muscle this one builds is discernment. Because you have been wrong in both directions, you eventually become very hard to sell to and very hard to discourage. You learn the difference between a boundary and a fear, and between a vision and a wish. People who never had this aspect never had to learn it, and it shows.

## The friction

The loop is slow and it hides well. You feel the longing, you decide it is unrealistic, you shut it down, you go flat, the flatness becomes exhaustion with no cause, and then you reach for anything that promises relief. Then the collapse gets read as proof that you should never have hoped. Nothing in that sequence is ever tested against a real plan, a real cost, or a second opinion.

## The esoteric layer

Saturn is Kronos in the Hellenistic texts, the greater malefic, and in Bailey's esoteric astrology the Lord of Karma who hands out opportunity in the shape of difficulty. Neptune was unknown to those ancient astrologers, so its reading comes from Bailey and modern work only. The older numerology calls the square the cross of incarnation, and Bailey warns specifically about Neptunian glamour: the crosses indicate process and points of crisis. This is the aspect where illusion gets ground into discernment, and grinding is the accurate word.

The two houses involved say where you were first asked to believe something that did not hold, and where you keep going back for it. That is exactly the material a therapeutic astrology session works with.
