There is always someone in your way. There has been for so long that you would not know how to move without one.
What it looks like in a life
You run into authority. The boss, the licensing board, the father, the landlord, the one person whose signature you need. You either fight them straight on or comply and carry the resentment, and you have probably done both in the same year. Your energy comes in bursts against a wall, then long flat stretches of waiting. You are excellent under a clear obstacle and strangely lost without one. Timing is the recurring problem: you move too early and get blocked, or wait so long the moment closes. Behind it there is usually an early relationship where wanting something and being allowed it were two separate questions.
The gift
You know how power actually works, because you have been on the wrong end of it and studied it from there. You can hold a position under pressure without collapsing. When you become the authority yourself, you are fair, because you remember exactly what arbitrary felt like. Force plus limit, once they stop arguing, is what competence looks like from the outside.
The friction
You put the no outside yourself. As long as the obstacle is a person, you never have to look at the one you carry, so you keep finding new versions of the same man. The tension is expensive. It runs as chronic pressure, bad sleep, a temper that arrives late and too hot, and years of effort spent chasing permission that was never going to be granted.
The esoteric layer
The opposition is half the circle, the number two, read in the older material as full-Moon logic: you see the thing by standing across from it. The Bailey lineage holds the pairs of opposites in tension until a third point reconciles them, which is why oppositions arrive through other people first. Saturn there is the Lord of Karma and the Guardian of the Threshold, handing out opportunity shaped like difficulty. Mars is the desire nature under training. This axis is the training, and the other person has only ever been holding one end of it.
Where this goes
The houses at each end say where the blocking was first learned and where it repeats now. That is the exact material a therapeutic astrology session works with, and the wall moves once it gets named.
