You lead without announcing it, and you get picked. Conflict does not frighten you, so you raise the hard subject at dinner while everyone else is still rehearsing. You have a long record of things you were good at immediately and dropped once the easy gains ran out. When you do commit, you make progress fast enough that people assume you are working harder than you are.
The gift
Your effort is not expensive. Where other people have to talk themselves into acting, you simply act, and the confidence that follows is genuine rather than performed. Anger passes through you and leaves. You take up space without dominating the room. Given a goal you actually care about, you close the distance faster than almost anyone and stay likeable the whole way.
The friction
Ease is the whole problem. You were never forced to build discipline, so under real pressure you reach for natural ability and find it thinner than expected. You quit at the point where the flow stops and call it losing interest. The trine hands you capital. Nothing inside it makes you spend the capital.
The esoteric layer
Bailey's esoteric astrology puts it plainly on page 468: the triangles indicate possibility. The trine is capital from work already done, and the standing danger is inertia, a beautiful room that no one walks into. The instruction that follows in that tradition is to give a trine a job, usually the job of funding the hard aspects elsewhere in the chart. Mars there is desire being trained into will. An unspent Sun trine Mars is will that never got asked for anything.
