You need long stretches alone or you stop functioning, and you have had to defend that need to people who took it personally. You have a rich inner life that almost never gets described out loud. You feel other people's states as if they were your own, so crowds cost you. You have worked behind the scenes, in hospitals, studios, prisons, churches, or care work, or you have wanted to. Recognition arrives late and sideways. You have a spiritual life, or a substance, or both, because the drift is the same door. You dream vividly. You spent years unsure who you were, and then a hard season made it obvious.
The gift
You perceive what is not being said, and it is not a trick. You are the one who feels the truth of a room before the evidence shows up. Your compassion reaches places logic never will, because you have been in the places logic does not go. And you are capable of real surrender, which is the one thing willpower cannot fake.
The friction
You dissolve. When it hurts you go somewhere else: sleep, fantasy, a screen, a drink, a story about later. You sabotage visibility right when it arrives, because being seen feels like being exposed. And you carry feelings that were never yours, then wonder why you are so tired for no reason you can point at.
The esoteric layer
In the Hellenistic system the twelfth place was called Bad Spirit, and it was the joy of Saturn: confinement, loss, hidden enemies, what works on a life from out of sight. That is the oldest reading of this house and it is not a soft one. Bailey's esoteric astrology adds the other half.
